California Pacific Airlines, a start-up regional airline based in Carlsbad, has completed the first phase of the Federal Aviation Administration process for commercial flight certification and is on course to begin service later in 2012 operating Embraer 170 aircraft to start.<\/p>\n

The airline has leased their first two planes, which are expected to be delivered in March or April of 2012. A\u00a0mid to late summer launch for the airline is planned.\u00a0California Pacific Airlines, also to be known as\u00a0CPAir, intends to operate from Carlsbad\u2019s McClellan-Palomar Airport in California. Initial service will be to\u00a0San Jose, Oakland, Sacramento, Las Vegas, and Phoenix.<\/p>\n

The first two leased aircraft to be delivered to the airline are Embraer 170s with a future goal of moving the fleet to the Embraer\u00a0190 if demand and growth allows.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
