Garuda Indonesia confirmed an order today for six CRJ1000 NextGen aircraft plus 18 options that was announced previously as a undisclosed airline customer by Bombardier. The airline will be the launch customer for the CRJ1000 NextGen regional jet program in the Asia-Pacific region.
The order was announced at the Singapore Airshow where Garuda Indonesia confirmed that the airline is the unidentified customer that ordered six CRJ1000 NextGen regional jets and placed 18 further options as announced by Bombardier on February 10, 2012.
Including this order from Garuda Indonesia, more than 300 Bombardier CSeries, CRJ and Q-Series commercial aircraft are on order, or are currently operating in the Asia-Pacific region.
Worldwide, CRJ Series aircraft are in service with more than 60 airlines and more than 30 corporate variants of CRJ Series aircraft are also in service.

Including this announced order from Garuda Indonesia, Bombardier has recorded firm orders for 1,715 CRJ Series aircraft, with 1,661 delivered as of December 31, 2011.
Azul Linhas Aereas Brasileiras confirmed options for 10 Embraer 195 jets today soon after ordering 11 aircraft four months ago. The total aircraft ordered by the Brazilian carrier will be 62 consisting of 57 Embraer 195s and five Embraer E190s.
Belarus-based Belavia has placed an order for two Embraer 175s, which it will finance through Air Lease Corporation.
Bombardier Aerospace announced that an unidentified airline has signed a firm order for six CRJ1000 NextGen regional jets and has taken options on an additional 18 aircraft.
