On March 31, 2014, Bombardier announced that Nok Air converted two Q400 options to firm orders. The airline reserved these options November 19, 2013 when the airline ordered two Q400 aircraft and four options. Nok Air is the launch customer for the new extra capacity seating option of the Q400 NextGen which allows for up to 86 passengers. Both of the converted option aircraft will be built to the increased passenger capacity option.
Including Nok Air’s order, Bombardier has recorded firm orders for a total of 493 Q400 and Q400 NextGen aircraft.
On March 27th, 2014, Bombardier announced that Adria Airways signed a firm purchase agreement for two CRJ900 NextGens. Adria Airways has been a Bombardier customer since March 1997. The airline currently operates four CRJ200s, two CRJ900s and two CRJ900 NextGens.
On March 27th, 2014, Bombardier announced that an unnamed customer from Latin America signed a firm purchase agreement for one CRJ700 NextGen aircraft for use in special mission applications. Details of the services and modification work were not disclosed.
On March 27th, 2014, Bombardier announced that WestJet Encore signed an agreement to purchase five Q400 NextGen airliners. The order is a conversion of five of 25 outstanding options that the airline holds for Q400 aircraft.
