Republic Airways Holdings amended its capacity purchase agreement with Delta Air Lines today to include the addition of six ex-Frontier Airlines Embraer 170s.
The additional aircraft will enter Delta Connection service between July and October of 2011 and will have a term of six years from the in-service date. All 14 Embraer 170s will be operating for Delta by October 1, 2011 according to Republic.
The aircraft operator will also remove three leased ERJ-135s from its fleet when lease terms expire in September 2011. It also announced that six Embraer 190s slated for delivery in the second half of 2011 will be delayed by an average of two months owing to parts delays it attributed to the earthquake in Japan.
