The additional aircraft will enter Delta Connection service between July and October of 2011 and will have a term of six years from the in-service date. All 14 Embraer 170s will be operating for Delta by October 1, 2011 according to Republic.

The aircraft operator will also remove three leased ERJ-135s from its fleet when lease terms expire in September 2011. It also announced that six Embraer 190s slated for delivery in the second half of 2011 will be delayed by an average of two months owing to parts delays it attributed to the earthquake in Japan.

I was a passenger on the 2-20-2016 flight 4508 from PIT-DCA. I was flying down for the Disabled American Veterans Mid-Winter Conference. Just before we disembarked in DC, one of the attendants… Judy T. took the time to give me a “Thank You Veteran!” card. I was treated great the whole flight but this was an act beyond. I started flying again last year. There was about a 40 year span from the last one before. I remember the “Airline Stewardesses” who were on the several flights I made to/from South Vietnam between 1969 and 71. I remember on the trips TO SEA when they always had a concerned look but still gave us a departing message with a smile… “We will see you on the trip home”. That kind of thing sticks in us in a good way and this card is on my desk as a “new” reminder. Again, Thank you all and especially Judy T.

If this is the wrong place to send this, I hope you are able to get this message to where it needs to be… Thank you… from an Old Vet….
