J-Air places order for one additional Embraer 170

J-Air LogoJ-Air has signed an agreement to purchase an additional Embrear 170 after taking delivery of 10 Embraer 170 regional jets in a previous order. Delivery is planned for the fourth quarter of 2012.

This aircraft will be configured for 76 passengers in a single-class cabin layout. J-Air is a wholly owned subsidiary of Japan Airlines which serves the company’s regional network in Japan.

J-Air currently operates their fleet of 10 Embraer 170s out of four hub airports on routes such as Tokyo Haneda – Nanki-Shirahama Airport and Osaka Itami Airport – Aomori.

Embraer has firm orders for more than 1,050 aircraft from 60 airlines in 42 countries. More than 800 E-Jets have been delivered so far.
