Mitsubishi Aircraft announced that it will push back the first deliveries of the Mitsubishi Regional Jet (MRJ) by about a year to 2015. The first of 25 MRJs ordered by All Nippon Airways was to be delivered in the January-March quarter of 2014 but now will be delivered in the first quarter of 2015.
The company will provide a revised schedule to customers and parts suppliers as by the end of May 2012. This will be the second delay for the program. In September 2009, the program was pushed back following a change to the design of the MRJ’s main wing.
